So today I was sitting in the car, and as my mom gets off the freeway, I see one of those homeless men on the street corner holding a sign that basically says they\u2019re homeless. And that\u2019s when I started to wonder\u2026 what does holding a sign on the street corner DO for them?<\/p>\n
At first I imagined a dialogue sorta like this:<\/em><\/p>\n Rich dude:<\/strong> *drives up in a Ferrari* Get in.<\/p>\n Homeless man:<\/strong> *looks around confused but gets in the shotgun seat.*<\/p>\n Rich dude:<\/strong> I am supposed to hire someone today. I\u2019ll take you back to my place and fix you up.<\/p>\n Homeless man:<\/strong> Oh really?! THANK YOU! *reaches over to give rich dude a hug*<\/p>\n Rich dude:<\/strong> Don\u2019t touch me.<\/p>\n Yeah. Like that ever happens. But seriously, these homeless people never actually get a response from holding a cardboard sign. And obviously since this \u201chold sign on street corner\u201d technique isn\u2019t working, I\u2019d love to counsel homeless people about creative ways of making money. Haha. Can you imagine that? A counseling service for homeless people on ways to make money\u2026<\/p>\n Step 1:<\/strong> go to fountains. People make wishes at fountains.<\/p>\n Go have fun and fountain hop. It\u2019s a free shower, AND you can collect some change.<\/p>\n Step 2:<\/strong> go pick up recyclables that are left on the streets. You can clean the Earth while making some money\u2026 Step 3: find out when big events are, and pretend to be a valet service. Find some cones and block off the parking lot, and collect money while driving fancy cars.<\/p>\n No\u2026 I\u2019m joking, but seriously.
