A little more about Gabrielle…

Advice as a Rising Senior in High School: start your college search early! You can never be too early to look at colleges and scholarships. My dream college is Florida State University. During my college search, I was able to look at when their different dates for applications and such are due. Make sure you also involve your parents. I mean, they’re the ones paying for it. haha! Within FSU, I want to major in psychology and eventually become a Psychiatrist. I have been a fan of FSU my whole life. They also have a great music program along with their awesome Psychology program! Also with college and career searches, you’re going to come up with a lot of different websites to use. That’s good! They’re all helpful and are there to be used by students like you and me! Take advantage of them, because they help a lot! Besides doing a lot of college searches online, go out on a 3-day weekend, school breaks, and days in the summer to physically visit the college and see if you can picture yourself being there.

College breaks are different from a high school’s break so college students will be in school when you go to visit. Make sure to ask if you can sit in on one of the classes for your major. It will be like “A Day in the Life” special. If I do say so myself, my college and career searches are going great! I have learned so much about different colleges and careers more than before I began searching!

Well, that’s all i have for you today! Happy college and career hunting! 🙂
