Alumni Profiles: Veronica Schreibeis Smith, Montana State University-Bozeman, School of Architecture

Veronica Schreibeis Smith, AIA, NCARB, LEED AP, graduated in 2005 from the School of Architecture at Montana State University with a Master of Architecture degree and began working as an architect on four continents, including time in the offices of Luis Longhi Arquitectos in Lima, & Byoung Soo Cho Architects in Seoul. Her immersion in the Environmental Design and Architecture programs at Montana State University allowed Veronica to hone her design and creative-thinking skills, using the design of the built environment as a means for solving problems and enriching lives and communities. Her design studio classes gave her the time and space to establish the personal and professional values that would become a foundation for her career in architecture and design.

She founded Vera Iconica Architecture in 2010 with the goal of elevating grace & beauty in people’s lifestyles on an international level. Located in Jackson, Wyoming, her firm is a global pioneer in wellness architecture, the art and science behind designing built environments that enhance human and planetary health and wellbeing.

In 2017, Vera Iconica Architecture was recognized by the publication Design Intelligence as one of the top “10 firms under 10 employees” in the United States. As a leader envisioning a new direction for how architectural firms undertake design and client interactions, she received the 2015 Rule Breakers Award at the Sage Summit.
